APOCALYPTIC'ART
The badly shaven, intoxicated young artists of Brux'Hell have retreated to a hotel room at the Fish Market by command of the BIFFF. Their secret mission : to eliminate the politically correct art of contemporary artists who have, unfortunately, far too much success beyond Brussels' borders.
With their creativity, their ingenuity, their madness and their nimble fingers, they will create works of art that will have the devastating impact of a pyroclastic cloud, out of which a venomous swarm of locusts will emerge. They will not attack vegetables or trees but everyone that does not carry the holy seal. This will be the moment of truth between those that carry the sign of mediocrity and those that carry the sign of the BIFFF.
Apocalyptic'Art is coming

Everybody knows that our flat country, bursting culturally with folklore and traditions with diverse and distant roots, has for centuries attracted and spurred on those minds passionate about the imaginary and the mysterious. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that a large number of artists can be found here, bewitched by our legends and tales. Invaded by the extraordinary, they cannot help but give themselves over to it, creating the unclassifiable.
In this spirit of quiet insanity our destroyers of dreams present to you their weird and wonderful vision as part of the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Film (BIFFF).
BRUX-HELL represents a magic mirror, uncovering Belgian artists whose blood is bubbling with the fantastic, such as:
Peggy Van Reeth, Ptoma, Fabrice Lavollay, Thierry Gillet, Gabriel Tapia, Psychodoll, Cool-Labo-Art-Action, Jocelyn Gautama, Karotte, Chris Bonobo
There are also the wild artists from the Galerie d'Enfer and the Museum of Fantasy Art, who will take over the warm and welcoming bar at Passage 44 during the two weeks of the BIFFF.
Exhibitions by these 10 artists in two locations:
The Bar of the Passage 44 Auditorium (VIP area, a place of lectures and sustenance!), from 10/03/06 until 25/03/06
The Arkel Body Art Gallery, located at 16 Passage St Honoré, from 04/03/06 until 31/05/07
